Rules and Guidance

The Compact Council has adopted guidance and rules to use when:

  • Reviewing proposals to divert water outside of the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River Basin;
  • Engaging in administrative hearings;
  • Engaging in rule making;
  • Modifying decisions of the Compact Council on diversion applications; and,
  • Communicating with federally recognized Tribes.
